RENTAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

General
You must notify Crossroads of any change in your street address, mailing address, telephone numbers or credit card information during the length of rental period.
Length of Rental
Instruments are rented 3 months at a time. If payment is more than 30 days late and customer has not returned the instrument(s), customer will be held liable for the full retail value of the instrument.
Payments & Refunds
Payments are due in advance. If the instrument(s) is returned within the paid rental period, Crossroads is under no obligation to provide refunds.
Late Payments
Late charge is $5.00 if payment is not received by the due date. Sales tax will be added to all fees.
Lost, Stolen or Damaged
You take full responsibility for the care and safekeeping of the instrument or equipment rented. If lost, stolen, or damaged beyond repair, you will reimburse Crossroads the amount stated as the retail value, plus tax. If damaged but repairable you will reimburse Crossroads for the cost of the repair. Repairs for damages must be done by our in-house repair services provided by Crossroads. Normal wear and tear is expected. Routine maintenance will be provided through Crossroads Music only, (broken strings are paid by customers if applicable to instrument(s)). Upon return of the instrument, Crossroads will notify you within 30 days if there is any further charge for damage or missing parts.

CROSSROADS ENSURES THAT UPON RENTAL THE INSTRUMENT IS READY TO PLAY.

FEES
Example: Total Rental Fee= $20.00 (Monthly Rate) x 3 Months = $60.00 + Sales tax

RENTAL WITH PURCHASE OPTION

Violin, Viola, and/or Cello
One hundred percent (100%) of the rental fees paid for the first six (6) months may be applied toward the purchase (at list price) of this instrument or another violin, viola or cello of greater value (at list price) or one of equal value in a bigger size: as long as there is a continous rental contract in force, this credit may be applied up to two (2) years from the date of the original contract.
Guitar, Banjo, and/or Mandolin
One hundred percent (100%) of the rental fees paid for the first three (3) months may be applied toward purchase (at list price) of this instrument or another guitar of greater value (at list price). Purchase must occur before the end of the grace period which is 10 days from due date.
Brass & Woodwind
If a NEW instrument is rented for 24 consecutive months, the instrument becomes the property of the customer. If the rented instrument is NOT A NEW instrument you can apply your rental payments toward the purchase of any NEW woodwind or brass instrument in the store. Late charges do not apply to the purchase cost.

Note: There is no obligation to purchase if you elected the purchase option with your rental contract. If you decide you don't want to purchase the rented instrument all you have to do, is return the instrument(s) and the purchase option becomes null and void.
