ACOUSTIC & ELECTRIC GUITAR, MOUNTAIN DULCIMER, AUTOHARP AND UKULELE

I teach beginning to advanced guitar students and can cover a broad range of styles. Fingerstyle is my specialty and I'm experienced in country blues, folk, Delta slide, Piedmont blues, ragtime, swing and rock. I also enjoy playing rhythm with fiddlers. Although the guitar is my main instrument I also play mountain dulcimer, autoharp and the ukulele. I relate well to young people. Parents are kept well informed on their progress. I lay down an easy foundation of one finger chords and build from there. Students can choose fingerstyle, flatpicking or begining jazz theory. Fun is the key to learning music and as students (of any level) learn their own strengths they find inspiration to further them along.
